Head or Heart?

Isaiah 46:4 (NLT) – I will be your God throughout your lifetime – until your hair is white with age.  I made you, and I will care for you.  I will carry you along and save you.

I’m just wondering…. when you say you know God, is it with your head or your heart that you know Him?

Think about that for a minute.  Do you know the commands, Jesus’ familiar sayings and the story of the resurrection?  Or do you know the God who loves and cares for you, who holds you in His arms and longs for a relationship with you?  Maybe you know both.

If you only know information about God, I pray, pray, pray that you allow God to move from your head into your heart.  I pray you’ll spend some time in His presence building a relationship so that you feel His loving arms around you.

Today’s verse doesn’t simply tell us information about God.  It shows us an up close and personal God that we can literally depend on every day – even after our hair is white with age.

Here’s a prayer God will always answer if you pray authentically:  God, help me love you more.
