A Return Trip

Psalm 82:1-4 (NLT) God presides over heaven’s court; he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings:  “How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked?  Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.  Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people.”

The flights are booked and the planning has begun….

We’re going to Cambodia!

In early January, my friend, Donna, my daughter, Steph, and I will head to Phnom Penh to support missions that care for exploited and at-risk girls.  We’ll also travel to Kompong Cham to see World Hope’s preventive Adelphe program and meet a girl we began sponsoring after our trip in 2012 - fighting the evil of sex trafficking one girl at a time.

Do you ever wonder why God allows so much evil in the world?  This week alone we’ve read headlines about another beheading, a brutal attack at a synagogue, rape accusations against Bill Cosby, and a shooting at FSU.  Not all evil makes the headlines, but we know about ongoing domestic violence, cyber crime, fraud, murder, and so much more.

How do we tackle such huge problems?

By loving one child of God at a time.  By doing our small part instead of feeling powerless.  By speaking up.  By supporting others in the mission field fighting the evil head on.

How do you battle evil? (tweet this)

  1. So glad you and Steph are going together to Cambodia! Keep us posted on what you will be doing. Making a difference in one person at a time...reminds me of the starfish story...
