Deep Roots

"Setting Down Roots"
Sculpture by Neal Personeus

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow Him. Let your roots grow down into Him and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)

I’m looking for your thoughts this week since I’m studying and writing in a beautiful, secluded setting. This scripture is for your personal reflection, but I would love to hear what God is saying to you through it.

What is God speaking to your heart in this verse?

The sculpture pictured today was created by my friend Neal Personeus. It was commissioned as a wedding gift for a young couple who purchased their first home right before getting married. The house in the sculpture is a reproduction of their actual home.
